Charming Falls Apart Coffee Cocktail
Allison’s Almond Milk Latte Martini
Ingredients:
2 oz. brewed coffee
1.5 oz. Bailey’s (or any Irish Cream liquor)
1 oz. coffee liquor (Kahlua works well too)
.5 oz Amaretto
2 large ice cubes
3 coffee beans
Instructions:
1. Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake heartily until ice is broken up and preferably dissolved. If you don’t have a cocktail shaker use a large cup or glass that you can mix it in.
2. Strain into a martini glass. If you don’t own a martini glass that is ok, any old glass will work.
3. Garnish with 3 coffee beans.
4. Enjoy!
Today, June 8, is Women’s Fiction Day, and that is cause for celebration and a cocktail!
Earlier this year, I created a signature drink for the American Writers Museum Book Discussion of Charming Falls Apart. While it was posted on their website for the event, I also wanted to share it here.
The recipe was inspired by Allison’s regular Almond Milk Latte order at The Cauldron. The Amaretto gives it a nutty taste, and the Bailey’s when shaken with the other ingredients creates a frothy top like a latte foam. I’ve tried it shaken as a martini and simply over ice, and both versions were delicious. And since it’s on the sweet side, it also makes a delightful dessert.
If you make one at home, I’d love to see it! Be sure to tag me on social media and use the hashtag #charmingfallsapart.
Also, if you missed the AWM book discussion where we sipped on this tasty creation, you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oY7EFgM_gQo
Cheers!
